Carbonized strand woven bamboo flooring is a gorgeous and unique hardwood floor that interweaves lighter almond tones with medium auburn tones creating a look that you won't find with any other hardwood floor. This unique color is achieved by boiling natural bamboo strands, which heats the sugar in the wood and actually gives it a darker, more rich color than you will find with natural bamboo. Rating 3000 on the Janka Hardness Scale, your strand woven bamboo flooring will be more durable than most any other floor on the market. Engineered bamboo hardwood flooring can be installed, maintained and refinished just like any other conventional hardwood floor. Our engineered click lock strand woven bamboo flooring with attached underlayment starts off with a thick wear layer of strand woven bamboo. This layer is created by pressing small strands of bamboo together with a combination of heat, extreme pressure and a rock hard adhesive. That top layer is then bonded to a thick layer of high density bamboo fiber which is backed with a layer of bamboo plywood for added stability. Finally a high density 2mm thick EVA foam pad is attached to the back of each flooring plank, which acts as a moisture barrier and sound deadener. This means that no other installation materials are required and that makes our click lock bamboo flooring perfect for do it yourselfers! Simply remove the flooring from the cartons and begin installing. It doesn't get any easier than that. Our carbonized strand woven bamboo flooring is truly a completely renewable resource. Bamboo can grow at an incredible rate of up to 47" per day and our flooring is made only from 5 year old mature bamboo once it has completed it's growth cycle. Unlike trees, which die when harvested, bamboo actually regenerates itself so the forests remain for generations to come.
